Shelter: A shelter is a safe home. It’s a place to hide from danger and stay warm and dry. A bird builds a nest in a tree, a fox digs a cozy den underground, and a fish might hide under a big rock in the water.

A fluffy squirrel and a shimmery fish both need the Big Three, but they find them in very different ways! A squirrel finds food (acorns) in the forest, drinks water from puddles, and makes a shelter in a tree hole. A fish finds food (tiny plants) in the pond, lives right inside its water, and uses rocks for shelter. Wow, so different!
